Goals for 2021

2020 was different to how we expected it, nothing seemed to go right. But we still achieved a lot. We both finished our first year of university with good grades, moved into our first student house, went on a small staycation to Leeds. We’re determined for 2021 to be ten times better than 2020, so here are our biggest goals for the year ahead.
Start our podcast
When we began this blog, we were originally starting a podcast alongside of it. However due to university deadlines and having to live apart for prolonged periods of time, because of the pandemic, it got put on hold. When we’re back living together, it’s the first thing we plan on doing.
2. Finish second year with good grades
Having spent our second year of university predominantly online, we have no idea how grading will be but we are hopeful that we can finish second year with either the same or better grades than our first year, despite the difficult circumstances.
3. Manifest and Meditate
We both want to spend more time on manifesting and meditating. Courtney has read a lot of books on manifestation, which I am now reading on her recommendation. Meditating will hopefully be a way for us to destress and relax, especially when the world around us is so uncertain. Hopefully, this will also improve our mental health as it will be teaching us how to stay positive and attract good things.
4. Spend less time on our phones
If this year has taught us anything, it’s that we spend far too much time on our phones. In quarantine, it was understandable as there was not much to do. However now we want to less time on our phones and more time doing more useful and productive things, like university work, reading books or just spending time with our friends and family.
5. Spend less money
During lockdown, we both developed spending habits and shopping addictions which now aren’t viable. We’re both going to make a conscious effort to spend less money. But, if we do find that we need to buy clothes we’re going to try make sure they are made more ethically and sustainably, so we aren’t buying into the fast fashion culture. We also want to buy pieces that will last longer, even if we do have to spend a bit more money on them.
6. Go on some sort of holiday
When we went on our girl’s staycation to Leeds, we realised we didn’t need to go abroad to have fun. Whether we will be able to go abroad or not remains to be seen but one way or another, we’re determined to get away for a few days and relax.
