STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT, THE UNIVERSITY OF SALFORD:
I assist the communications manager for the School of Arts, Media and creative technology. In this role I have to write articles for internal and external platforms, contact people for quotes, arrange and conduct interviews and make social media posts and schedule them on Hootsuite.

I write online news and entertainment articles. Some which are press releases others I find myself and conduct interview for.

DARKUS MAGAZINE WRITER
I am a Fashion Writer for DARKUS magazine, therefore I pitch article ideas to the Editor. However, I also write content for their music section, where I interview musicians and attended concerts to write up reviews.

FREELANCE WRITER
I have written numerous articles for The Collective Mag, for the culture section, lifestyle section, health and wellbeing section and current affairs section. I have written articles for an independent online and print magazine called IAmBeYoutiful about self-care, social media and beauty. I have written online articles for Empoword Journalism, for their entertainment and lifestyle section. For these magazines I have to generate my own stories and pitch these to the editors or use pitches which are sent into the group.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR, CURRYS PC WORLD
Till Cashier – Assisting customers with their purchases, generating VAT receipts, promoting care plans, changing POS, meeting store team targets and personal targets. Customer Service – Answering the phone, dealing with customer’s returns, enquiries and complaints. Admin – Cashing up the tills, safe management and completing daily paperwork.

PLACEMENT, BAUER MEDIA, GREATEST HITS RADIO SOUTH WEST
Whilst on my one week placement I edited audio for news bulletins on Adobe Audition, wrote news bulletins, wrote articles for the website, shadowed reporters and sat in on interviews and reporter meetings.

UNITY RADIO TEAM SUPPORT MEMBER
This was a two month voluntary role where I had to: edit the radio shows to upload onto the website using cubase, update their timetable and Spotify playlist. I wrote music reviews and articles and had to check their SEO before uploading. I had to edit videos on premier pro and then use Canva to make them into a graphic, before scheduling them on social media alongside presenters shows. I also had the opportunity to go onto air with two of the presenters and co-host part of their show.

BLOG CO-OWNER
Throughout lockdown I co-owned  a blog called Spillingitt, this is a place where we shared our articles and advice about university, lockdown and the future. We shared this across social media to help us gain maximum engagement, through Instagram posts, stories and reels.
