1 Year of Spilling Itt

A year ago today we were sat in our bedrooms on FaceTime to each other writing our first blog post. We were in the first national lockdown in England and had just finished our first year of university and decided to start a blog to expand our portfolio.
Since we began the blog we have started second year of university, gone back to work, been in two more lockdowns, celebrated our 20th birthdays and still not set foot in a club. But we are hoping that this will change on June 21st, especially as we have tickets booked.
Over this last year we have learnt how to run a blog account and run an Instagram page alongside it. We have changed our feed four times since, all to try and reach our target audience. We have made reels when getting ready and celebrating friends birthdays in lockdown.
We have wrote about numerous things from finishing first year, Black Lives Matter, our favourite things about Manchester, finding motivation during lockdown and our experience being a student during a Pandemic.
When we first started our blog we wanted to make a podcast as well. This is one of our goals for 2021 and something we are hoping to start this summer when we get a break from university.
However, since restrictions have been lifting in England and life has been going back to some what normal. We haven’t been as active as we used to on our blog as we used to try to post weekly. But hopefully when our deadlines are over we will be able to either go back to our usual posting schedule or replace it with a podcast episode every other week.

The third lockdown was sprung on us at the very start of this year, with most places already in a local lockdown or Tier 3/4.
