Destinations we want to visit

Throughout the pandemic we have been thinking of places we want to visit when it is over or we are free to travel. Some places we have wanted to visit even before Covid-19 was a thing, but sadly due to lockdown and travel restrictions this hasn’t been able to happen.
As some of you may know, last year we were supposed to be going to Ibiza, however like many other holidays it was cancelled and we have decided against rebooking it this year with the uncertainty. Therefore, our only trips last year were too Dublin, Leeds and London. Later this year or especially next year we are hoping to get out of the country when restrictions are eased.
One of the places we have been wanting to go since we first met at university was Paris. We were going to use a cheap flight sale to get there for early 2020, however, it was cheaper for us to go to Dublin at the time, and since we are students we obviously went for the cheapest option. We have both been to Paris before and thought it would make a nice weekend away, and ever since watching Emily in Paris we have been wanting to go even more. This location is definitely first on the list!
At the very start of University we decided that after graduation we would take a trip to Los Angeles, this would be our treat after finishing uni and our dissertations. We would also be 21 so it would mean we could drink and experience it fully, we would hike to the Hollywood sign, rent bikes on Venice beach, take a trip to Disney Land and Malibu. We would love to take surfing lessons just for the experience. Part of this plan was to visit Vegas for a night at the same time, guess you will just have to keep and eye out.
Even if we have to do staycations again this year one plan we have is to do Scotlands version of Route 66 the NC500. With our small cars we’re not sure how this will work, but we are determined to do it. Even if we don’t get to do the whole thing we definitely want to take a road trip around Scotland at some point, especially since we hardy got away last year.
Being stuck in gloomy England has made us want a sunny holiday, ideally Bali or the Maldives. We know we aren’t going to be able to go anytime soon but it is definitely on the list. Having watched vlogs about it and seeing it across social media has made us realise how much would want to go.
